How to request a Westio withdrawal
- Log in to your Westio account and open the Cashier.
- Select Withdraw. Your withdrawable balance is shown – bonus funds still being wagered aren’t included.
- Choose your method. Westio will usually show the method you deposited with, in line with the closed-loop rule.
- Enter the amount – at least £10, and within your daily and monthly limits.
- Confirm the request. You’ll see it as “pending” in your transaction history.
- Wait for approval and payment. Westio emails you when the withdrawal is approved and sent.
Payout times by method
| Method | Min | After approval | Total typical time |
|---|---|---|---|
| PayPal | £10 | Within 2 hours | Same day to 1 day |
| Skrill | £10 | Within 2 hours | Same day to 1 day |
| Neteller | £10 | Within 2 hours | Same day to 1 day |
| Visa debit (Fast Funds) | £10 | Often same day | 1–2 days |
| Visa / Mastercard debit (standard) | £10 | 1–3 working days | 2–4 working days |
| Apple Pay / Google Pay | £10 | 1–3 working days to the linked debit card | 2–4 working days |
| Bank transfer / Open Banking / Revolut / Rapid Transfer | £10 | 1–3 working days | 2–4 working days |
| Paysafecard | Not available | Paid by bank transfer instead | 2–4 working days |
“Total typical time” combines Westio’s usual approval window with the method’s processing time. Weekends and bank holidays add time for bank-based methods. Our payments overview compares deposits and withdrawals side by side.
Your first withdrawal: verification
Your first Westio withdrawal is the one most likely to take longer, because it’s when verification has to be complete. Westio needs:
- Photo ID – passport, UK driving licence or national ID card
- Proof of address – utility bill, council tax bill or bank statement dated within 3 months
- Proof of payment (sometimes) – a photo of your debit card with the middle 8 digits covered, or an e-wallet screenshot
Reviews usually take 24–48 hours. Upload these as soon as you register and your first payout should move at normal speed. Our Westio KYC verification guide explains how to photograph documents so they pass first time.
Larger withdrawals can also trigger a source of funds or affordability check, where Westio may ask for payslips, bank statements or a P60.
Limits
| Limit | Amount |
|---|---|
| Minimum per withdrawal | £10 |
| Maximum per day | £5,000 |
| Maximum per month | £20,000 |
| VIP (Sheriff rank and above) | Higher limits – check with your account manager |
A big win above these limits is paid in instalments, and each instalment goes through the same approval and processing steps as a normal withdrawal. Limits apply per account, not per payment method, so spreading a request across two methods will not get round them. Members of the Sheriff’s Star Club also get faster withdrawal processing as their rank rises.
What happens during approval
The “pending” stage isn’t idle time. Before releasing any payout, the payments team typically checks that:
- your identity, address and (if requested) payment method are verified;
- the withdrawal method matches the one you deposited with and is in your name;
- any bonus you claimed has been fully wagered or forfeited;
- play on the account followed the bonus and stake rules, including the £5 per spin maximum (£2 for 18–24s) while wagering;
- nothing on the account suggests a duplicate registration, a chargeback or an affordability concern.
If everything lines up, approval is usually quick. If one check fails, the request is either held while you fix it or declined with a reason in your transaction history.
Large wins
A win above the daily or monthly cap isn’t a problem – it simply takes longer to reach you. Request up to £5,000 a day, and expect a source of funds or affordability check if your deposits have also been high. Keep payslips or recent bank statements handy so you can respond within the day. Before re-staking a big win, consider withdrawing most of it first; once it’s in your bank, it’s yours.
The closed-loop rule
Westio pays withdrawals back to the method you deposited with, where possible. If you used more than one method, deposits are usually returned to each in proportion, with winnings going to your main method. If your original card has expired or your e-wallet has been closed, live chat can set up an alternative after checking your details.
Withdrawals can’t be reversed
Under UK rules, once you request a withdrawal it can’t be cancelled and sent back into your balance to keep playing. This is a protection: it stops “reverse withdrawals” eating into winnings during a losing session.
!Only withdraw what you mean to
Double-check the amount before confirming. If you change your mind after requesting, the only way to play with that money is to deposit it again – and a fresh deposit counts towards your deposit limits.Bonuses and withdrawals
If you have an active bonus, check its wagering before withdrawing. The Westio welcome offer carries 10x the bonus (and 10x free-spin winnings) within 30 days, with slots counting 100% and live casino and table games 10%. Requesting a withdrawal with an unfinished bonus may forfeit the bonus and any winnings from it.
The one exception worth knowing: Westio’s weekly cashback (10% up to £250) is paid each Monday as cash with no wagering, so it can be withdrawn straight away. See our promotions guide for every offer.
Tips for the fastest Westio payout
- Verify on day one – the biggest single cause of slow first withdrawals.
- Deposit with an e-wallet if speed matters; closed loop means you’ll withdraw to it.
- Finish or forfeit bonuses before requesting.
- Request on a weekday morning so bank-based payouts beat processing cut-offs.
- Keep your name consistent across your Westio profile and payment methods.
- Stay within limits – split large amounts across days if needed.
If something goes wrong
If your withdrawal is still pending after 48 hours, or has been declined, our Westio withdrawal problems guide walks through every cause – unfinished wagering, KYC, closed loop, limits, bank holidays and name mismatches – plus how to escalate to IBAS if needed.
Winning is a good moment to step back. Withdrawing regularly, rather than re-staking everything, is a sensible way to keep gambling as entertainment. If you ever feel the urge to chase losses, the National Gambling Helpline is free and open 24/7 on 0808 8020 133.
